Connect Jasper to OpenAI's Agent Builder to embed brand control in your agentic content workflows
You can connect Jasper’s MCP directly inside OpenAI’s Agent Builder and make Jasper MCP tools available within your custom agentic workflows. This allows agents to generate, style, and manage brand-aligned content using Jasper.
Prerequisites
Jasper
- Jasper account with a Business plan (API access)
- You can reach https://mcp.jasper.ai and https://api.jasper.ai from your network
- Your Jasper API Key
OpenAI
- An OpenAI account with API access (not just ChatGPT)
- The “Agent Builder” is visible on your OpenAI platform dashboard
- You have an adequate credit balance to run workflows
Steps to connect

- Visit the OpenAI Agent Builder
- Create a new workflow or open an existing agent
- Click on an Agent step in your workflow -> Add tool -> MCP Server
- Add a custom server (+ Server)
- In the server URL field, enter:
https://mcp.jasper.ai - Select "Custom headers" authentication
- Enter
x-api-keyas the header and your Jasper API Key as its value
- In the server URL field, enter:
- Click Connect to finalize the setup
